General Information about Sarajevo

Sarajevo which is the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina and is in the centre of the country within the Sarejevo valley. Known as being one of the most interesting cities in Europe, Sarajevo filled with many museums and art gallery's as well as many mosques and Oriental style shops.

A trip to Sarajevo would not be complete without visiting the city's Stari Grad or Old City. Set in the centre of Bascarsija this is where you will be able to see some spectacular displays of Bosnian architecture such as the Tzars Mosque and the Sarajevo Cathedral.

While you are visiting Sarajevo be sure to sample some of the city's traditional food in particular burek which is a meat pie. Be sure to head down to a local bar or club as there is no better way to mingle with the locals and experience Sarajevo at its best.
